The price will vary depending on the size of your home and the number of household members, the hardness level of the water at your home, if you wish to also remove other minerals from the water, and if you have any special requirements for your water supply. 180 Plumbing & Heating can help you determine what features you need, and help you source and install a water softener that you and your family will enjoy. While on the cheaper side and more compact, we typically don’t recommend cabinet-styled softeners. It is better to have a separate resin canister and brine tank if the space allows it. The primary reason is for future serviceability.

It is far more economical and environmentally conscious to have these two components separate for two reasons.

  • First, if there is ever an issue with either, it is easier to access and repair.
  • Secondly, softener resin does not last forever, and after 7-12 years of use, the resin may need to be replaced.

We offer this service which allows our clients to re-use their existing equipment instead of having to repurchase a brand new system.
