Exploring Your Available Rebate Options

When it’s time to do some home upgrades, it’s worthwhile considering the government rebate programs available to you. There are often federal, provincial, and sometimes municipal programs operating to encourage homeowners to purchase energy-efficient home appliances and install systems to reduce our reliance upon fossil fuels.

Calgary & Area Rebate Programs

Calgary Clean Energy Improvement Program (COMING SOON!): In late 2022, Calgary homeowners will be able to apply for low-interest loans to support home renovations for energy-efficient home upgrades. More details are to be released in the coming months.

Alberta Rebate Programs

Senior Home Adaptation and Repair Program (SHARP): Plumbing and heating work that needs to be done to help you stay in your home as you or your loved ones age is potentially eligible for low-interest home equity loans through this provincial program.

Residential Access Modification Program (RAMP): You may be eligible for a provincial grant for plumbing work required to renovate your living spaces to accommodate using a wheelchair or other support systems.

Federal Rebate Programs

Canada Greener Homes Grant: Apply for a grant to have your home assessed for energy efficiency and receive up to $5000 for eligible work to be done on your home.
